
Currently, ASP is the sub-recipient of a Global Fund Round 6 HIV Project entitled “Strengthening the Provision of HIV and AIDS Capacity Building Initiatives among LGU and Partner Institutions in the Philippines through Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) and Blood Safety”.
ASP’s role in project implementation.
ASP as the lead agency and the SR for TOR #1 will play a dual role in the implementation of this Global Fund project a) As a technical agency, to provide additional technical expertise in b) program management to closely work with DOH GFR6 Project management office (PMO). As Sub-Recipient, ASP will manage the day-to-day implementation of the project and provide the necessary technical and administrative support that will enable timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of the services. These include, among others, technical backstopping support to its partner associates, LGU partners, regional hospitals and regional blood centers in the conduct of various project activities. A total of 16 HIV site and 23 Blood Safety sites nationwide are ASP partners for these initiatives. Part of these deliverables is the conduct of various capacity building workshops to partner LGUs. Currently this is the project accomplishment related to these proposals being submitted:
A total of 287 migrants workers and their families were trained on Basic HIV, STI and condom use
A total of 607 migrant worker and their families members were reached
A total of three VCT workshops were conducted with a total of 116 participants from OWWA, SHC, HIV treatment hubs, Blood bank head.
A total of 2 batches of Caring for the Carers were conducted with a total of 44 participants.
