ASP has continued to conduct workshops both nationally in the Philippines and in several Asian countries. Twelve workshops on a wide range of skills building topics during the 4th International Congress in AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) were attended by 600 delegates coming from 60 different countries.
Other workshops include Assessment of Reproductive Health Initiatives in Asia (Malaysia, 1999), Assessment of HIV Intervention Among Drug Users (Nepal, 2000), Computer Literacy Workshops (Philippines, 1999 – 2000), Assessment of HIV Intervention in Reproductive Health Programs (Shenzhen, China, 2001), and a Regional Training Workshop on Gender, Adolescents and Reproductive Health, (Hanoi, Vietnam, 2002).
To date, a total 775 participants have attended these workshops.
Furthermore, ASP has successfully prepared and managed over 60 projects supported by international multilateral and bilateral agencies such as the Philippine National AIDS Council (PNAC), The Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Levi Strauss Foundation, UNFPA, UNAIDS, the European Commission, Novib, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), IPAS, Family Health International (FHI), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), and the Global Fund for Tuberculosis, AIDS and Malaria (GFTAM)
